The Empowerment Awards is Britain's most inclusive disability awards ceremony, celebrating the changemakers, trailblazers, and everyday heroes in and around the disability community. Now in its third year, the 2027 ceremony takes place on Friday 30 April 2027 at The Regency.

Organised by Talks With M.S., a registered UK charity, the event recognises individuals, carers, allies, and organisations who are transforming lives across all disabilities: visible and invisible, physical and neurological, learning difficulties, mental health conditions, chronic illnesses, and sensory impairments.

The 2027 ceremony will present 20 award categories, bringing together Britain's most inspiring disabled people and their allies in a prestigious celebration of strength, resilience, and inclusion. Past ceremonies have reached over 1.5 million digital impressions, making it one of the UK's most impactful disability-focused events.

The 2026 ceremony took place on 20 March 2026 at The Woolwich, Emirates Stadium, home of Arsenal Football Club, welcoming 260 guests for an unforgettable evening.

The awards received more than 3,800 nominations, up from 163 the previous year, a clear sign of how much the community wants to be seen, heard, and celebrated. The evening also marked two UK historic firsts with the introduction of Assistance Dog of the Year and Additional Needs Personality of the Year.
